This hotel is a hidden gem tucked away inside the medieval town walls. The attention to detail is incredible, with each of the 7 bedrooms having its own unique character. The staff goes above and beyond to make you feel at home, and their personal tours and history lessons are a special touch. Breakfast is served to order and the prices are very reasonable.

The value we got for our money at Palacio Chaves was fantastic. The room was comfortable and the hotel's location in the medieval town was perfect. The staff, especially Ana, treated us like long lost friends and provided excellent hospitality.
The breakfast menu could have been improved with the addition of coffee making facilities in the rooms. It's a small personal preference, but it would have been nice to have a cup of coffee right after waking up.

This hotel truly transports you back in time with its stunning 16th-century palace setting. It's like staying in a living museum, with a wealth of books and eclectic art throughout. The rooms, especially the superior ones, are absolutely amazing - spacious, well-appointed, and full of character. The small but cozy bathrooms are a charming touch.
All was absolutely fine - no complaints whatsoever.

We stayed at a hotel in a location with a steep hill, which made it difficult to access by car. it was right in the centre of the old city, so we were able to easily access all the attractions. Our room was spacious and comfortable, with a lovely garden view. the bathroom was clean and well-maintained. Breakfast was basic but adequate.
The staff's attitude towards hospitality could have been better.

This hotel is a real hidden gem in the heart of the historic district, with a great selection of books and paintings in the public rooms. The garden is a wonderful place to relax with plenty of seating options and a small pool. The hotel is located just a short walk away from the main sights, making it easy to explore the city.
The hotel can be a bit difficult to find, so it's worth taking a closer look at the directions before you arrive. there seems to be only one member of staff on duty, so you may have to wait a bit before receiving assistance.

The building was beautifully decorated with paintings and artefacts that gave it a unique atmosphere. the garden was absolutely delightful and had a great view of the mountains. the location was perfect, in the middle of the historic town, and we were able to walk to shops and restaurants.
We arrived on Christmas day and no one was there to check us in. We had to wait in the cold for a long time before someone finally answered the door and let us in.
